Brite strike tactical balls

About Us

Brite-Strike Tactical Illumination Products Inc. was started by two police officers, to create world class tactical flashlights that had the features that police officers and citizens need to keep them safe.

Brite-StrikeВ® Tactical Illumination Products

The brilliant, flawless white light in a small easy to carry size can be used to temporarily distract and disorient a suspect or attacker.

The Tactical Blue DotВ® switch was designed by Jon & Glenn to have features that a patrol officer needs, such as the tri-sided barrel design for a more ergonomic grip, front and rear tri-strike-crown, provides maximum impact for pressure point and weapon retention techniques.

The Citizens Safety series are designed for citizens that wish to participate in a self defense course taught by police departments. For questions about where you can take a course call your local police department or email customerservice@brite-strike. com .

Brite-Strike makes a promise to always use the latest technology, world class components, highest design and manufacturing standards, so you can rely on your Brite-StrikeВ® light when you need it.

We only make tactical flashlights with the latest LED and DPM (Digital Power Management) chip technology, as older LED and incandescent lighting technology cannot compare.

Brite-StrikeВ® Professional Tactical LED lights and Lighting solutions were designed by police officers for the needs of police officers and SWAT teams. We designed lights that could meet real world standards for ease of operation that never require any twisting or turning that requires two hands.

Today’s lights with LEDs from leading manufacturers are better than ever. An LED is virtually indestructible, but the chips that manage power and functions including the strobe function that is so popular, are highly susceptible to breakage in other manufacturers lights. The patented design on our Tactical Blue DotВ® switch flashlights, protects not only the chips in the head but also in the tailcap, making them virtually indestructible. Try taking a tactical light with a twist and turn protruding endcap and smash it against a brick wall and you will see what we mean.

Our beam is a brilliant white light that closely approximates daylight and has no dark rings or spots and a minimal hot spot. We do not use collimator type lenses like many of our competitors, which result in overheating and a narrow beam. We use Pure Lumen Output to give you jaw dropping performance. Our proprietary Active Heat Sink Technology, allows us to drive our lights at higher amperage without overheating. The result is more lumens and longer run times.

We do not mass produce lights for mass merchant retailers. We manufacture in small batches with meticulous quality control. This allows us to incorporate the latest technology all the time, so we are always ahead of the pack.

Our DLCв„ў Duty Light Camera rechargeable duty light with built in VID, video and audio recording and the TOC, Tactical Observation Camera, both at break through prices will help keep officers safe on the street and in court. As almost all of our employees at Brite-Strike are active duty police officers and share ownership in the company, we have a unique perspective in knowing what officers and operators need. Designed by Police Officers for Police OfficersВ® is more than just a tag line.

While we did not specifically design our lights for the military, it turns out that many SPEC Ops teams appreciate the design features and quality, as well as our world class customer service have made Brite-Strike their personal tactical light. Our patented IR Tactical BallsВ® were made at the specific request of numerous teams and operators.

Brite Strike Tactical Balls

ADDITIONAL IMAGES & VIDEOS

Disorienting, blinding, and giving people seizures all serve as excellent forms of distraction during attempts at self-defense and ploys to make off with the $80 giant peanut butter cup cake. Brite Strike's Tactical Balls each have 2 white LEDs that blaze luminous beams of light at the push of a button, and can be thrown or rolled in a direction that diverts attention away from their dispatcher. Once released, the balls' concentric, weighted design spins and wobbles the light like a collection of gyrating strobes, ultimately stopping them bulb side up to backlight their target.

Though not intended to replace flashbangs, since Tactical Balls are small, lightweight, and water/shock resistant, they are safer for use in areas with flammable materials, and require no specialized training to operate. The trio of balls comes in a tactical deployment pouch, which I bet is basically a fancy term for "pliable sack".

Brite-Strike (RID3) Tactical Balls

Far from a toy, Brite-Strike (RID3) Tactical Balls put a new spin on essential illumination for self-defense

Designed for use by law enforcement as a safer alternative to using a flashbang when entering areas containing flammable materials, such as a suspected meth lab, Brite-Strike Tactical Balls serve as a rolling, illuminated, distraction and disorientation device (RID3 ) that can be just as effective for civilian use.

The set of three, black, 1-ounce, ABS-plastic balls feature shockproof/water-resistant body, along with a concentric design and weighted base that enables them to spin and roll erratically. Each light contains two bright LED bulbs powered by two Lithium CR2032 batteries, providing a runtime of 20 hours. The two-position on/off switch is waterproof and recessed into the weighted base, so as to promote movement. Being counterweighted, the balls land with the light facing upward, backlighting any potential threats.

Each ball contains two white LEDs, which are powered by two CR2032 batteries and protected by clear Lexan.

From a home-defense standpoint, the Brite-Strike Tactical Balls offer a tactical advantage, although in testing I found them better suited for certain applications. For example, while the balls could be used as an alternative light source, such as to illuminate an area when a flashlight isn’t handy, I’d advise against it, because you relinquish your only light source, which is negligent and puts you at a huge tactical disadvantage (not to mention, alerts the intruder). Firearm-mounted lights are much brighter and allow better control of your light usage.

The balls are best when used to create a momentary diversion, giving you that extra split second you need to deal with the situation Just push the buttons and toss them into an area where danger may be lurking. The spotlights swirling across the floor distracts the intruder while simultaneously revealing his location and backlighting him, should you have to shoot.

In testing, the balls performed best on hard surfaces, such as concrete, laminate or tiled floors. When rolled onto carpet, however, the weight distribution was absorbed, which disrupted the momentum and stopped the roll. Is this a big deal? Perhaps not, if you don’t have carpet in your home, but given the product’s origin, one would expect them to perform well across any flat surface.

Flush fitting into its body for easy movement, the switch is easy to operate while shielding the lens in your palm to minimize poor light discipline.

In its current configuration, the product works well as a diversionary system, however, I don’t find the LEDs bright enough to disorient. After sitting in a dark room for 5 minutes to give my eye time to adjust, they were randomly tossed into the room. They did an adequate job of lighting the room, but despite the wobbling swirl of light, I could still see well enough to defend myself.

My suggestions for improvement are few. In spite of the company’s reasoning on its website for not implementing a strobe feature, it should reconsider—especially when considering the effectiveness of the Tactical Touch switch Brite-Strike incorporates into its flashlights. Moreover, the IR variant of the Tactical Balls has a multi-function strobe, so clearlyBrite-Strke has the technology. Providing the option of a strobe would make a good product even better.

Brite Strike Set of 3 Tactical Balls

Tactical Balls® RID-3

Tactical Balls® RID-3, Rolling Illuminated Distraction and Disorientation Device were designed for use by police officers with no specialized training when you need a little something to get the bad guys attention to focus away from you. Small, lightweight, water resistant and shock resistant, they are concentric and weighted so they will wobble and spin all around when rolled or tossed into a room, then land light up to backlight the bad guy. The bad guy gets distracted and this buys you time to make your move.

Note: We get a few people once in while that ask why we did not make the Tactical Balls® RID-3 “strobe” particularly when our Tactical Touch® switch with HI/LO/Strobe is so effective. The simple answer is that you do not want to be looking at a strobe light when you enter. The spin and wobble that is built into the Tactical Balls® RID-3, creates the same effect, then stops just in time for you to make your entry into a dark room.

I purchased my set of tactical balls months ago. The instructor at the facility I took training from at the time informed the class they we all had to have a set of balls to be able to complete his class. I purchased mine the next day online.

They are REALLY rugged. During a training run, I took a squib round right in the pouch that holds my balls. I quickly pulled them out and examined them, fearing the worst. I shouldn't have worried. Running my hands over them, I saw they were totally undamaged and ready for duty. I also like the fact that you get THREE of them. Most guys would be happy with two, but it's good to know that when you suit up with your three tactical balls, you have a a bit of an edge over everyone else.

There have been some who complained about the cheapness of the pouch. I can't complain myself. It does its job, which is to keep your tactical balls from smacking around your legs or coming loose when you run.

The best thing is that these new balls are so easy to use. After a bit of coaching, even my wife (who is not as tactically minded as I) was able to handle my tactical balls like a real pro. They're just heavy and round enough to fill her hand. Heck, she handles them more now than I get to!

Get your Brite Strike Tactical Balls today. You really won't regret yet!
