Lite-Brite is a toy created by Hasbro in 1967 that allows the user to create glowing designs. It is a light box with small colored plastic pegs that fit into a matrix of holes and illuminate to create a lit picture. Using the colored pegs the user can create designs from imagination or by following templates. [ 1 ] There are eight peg colors: green, blue, red, yellow, orange, pink, purple and colorless clear.

Lite-Brite allows the artist to create a glowing picture by placing multi-colored translucent plastic pegs through opaque black paper. [ 2 ] The light from an illuminated light bulb is blocked by the black paper except where the pegs conduct the light. When lit, the pegs have an appearance similar to that of LEDs .

With current technology Lite-Brite is now offered as an iPad app. The user picks what color peg they want and then every space they touch shows a dot in that color and makes a popping sound. The app has many more dots than the original. There are also various websites online that host virtual Lite-Brite games.



Lite Brite online is an exact replica of the classic toy. To play, simply select a design sheet, then click and drag the pegs to the board and drop them on the corresponding color/letter.



You can grab a "handful" of pegs by double-clicking. To remove a peg, simply drag it anywhere off the board. Click the On/Off lightswitch to watch your designs light up!



Each of the design sheets faithfully recreates the designs that came with the original game. The 'FREE-FORM' sheet lets you create your own designs. Let your imagination run free :-)



If you register by simply providing a username and password above, you can save your designs by clicking the 'SAVE' button. You can also print and email your designs by clicking those buttons. And you can post your designs to our lite brite gallery for all to see by clicking the 'POST' button.

Placing Pegs



You have 2 options for placing pegs:



1. Click and drag on any peg in the storage tray to place it on the board.



2. Double-Click on a peg in the storage tray to grab a 'handful' of that color. Then each time you click on the board, a peg of that color will be placed.



To remove a peg from the board, or drop a handful, just click anywhere off the board.



'SAVE' Button



If you have logged on, you can SAVE your creations.



Just click on the 'SAVE' Button and the status field will let you know that your design was saved.



'PRINT' Button



Click on the 'PRINT' Button and the status field will let you know that the print version of your design is preparing. When it is prepared, your design will appear in a popup window for you to print.



'POST' Button



Click on the 'POST' Button and the status field will let you know that the post version of your design is preparing. When it is prepared, your design will appear in a popup window with a title field for you to fill in and post to the Gallery.



'EMAIL' Button



Click on the 'EMAIL' Button and the status field will let you know that the email version of your design is preparing. When it is prepared, your design will appear in a popup window with address fields for you to fill in. Fill in your and your friend's email, a subject and message, and click the 'send' button to send your creation to your friend.



'CLEAR' Button



Click on the 'CLEAR' Button to remove all the pegs from the current design.



'ON/OFF' Switch



Click on the switch to make the pegs light up!

The Brite-Lite converts a 3 wire electrical system on a towing vehicle to a 2-wire system on the towed vehicle. Three wire systems use a separate wire to carry the brake signal. Two wire systems have the brake and turn signals sent along the same wire. Lab tests have shown Brite-Lite makes turn signals 65% brighter and brake lights 25% brighter than other brands. If the trailer is one that is pulled by a motorcycle or a trailer designed to carry a motorcycle, you will need a converter in order to convert the wiring system used by the 6-Way to a 2 wire system used by trailer lights. The converter you can use is # RM-732. This takes the separate turn and brake signals and makes them a combined circuit. Bascially, there is no easy way to convert the European 7-Way to a US 4-Way. We do not carry any kind of adapter that you could use. You are left with 2 options. First, you would install a separate wiring harness which would be the easiest. Or, you could attempt to fabricate an adapter. You would need to use a converter, # RM-732. From what I understand, if you have just the turn signals in LED form they work fine. But when you have LED tail lights and turn signals on each side the turn signals do not blink. Your 2010 Chevrolet HHR has a 2-Way (combined) wiring system which means the brake and turn signals are sent along the same wire. Without seeing how everything is wired, it is a bit hard to diagnose, but I am guessing you have 1 too many wires run to the Brite-Lite Converter. The ground that is on part # RM-732 should be grounded to the motor home frame or structure. It took only minutes for me to get the Apollo Brite Lite IV unpacked, set up and ready for use. Operation is as simple as plug it in, find the best place to put it and flip the switch. The User's Guide recommended using their free Circadian Rhythm Assessment to determine a treatment plan if you are not under a doctor's care, so I visited their website. This too was easy to use and within about a minute I had a treatment plan to follow.



When I flipped the switch the first thing I noticed was that the bright light made it a little difficult to see my laptop screen. I adapted to this pretty quickly, however. I did not have any eyestrain or headaches, which can be problem with bright light therapy.



I found Apollo's customer service to be superb. Their website contains a wealth of information and their staff are very helpful. Since the bulbs have to be changed periodically, I wanted to see how difficult this would be and was a bit confused about how to remove the front panel.
