Trimaran Capital Partners Launches Brite Media Group

NEW YORK--( BUSINESS WIRE )--Jan. 31, 2005--Trimaran Capital Partners said today it has committed $40 million to launch Brite Media Group, LLC an entity that will seek to partner with and build a group of premier alternative media businesses. Bruce Friedman, through his investment company, Pacific Merchant Capital, will also be a significant investor in Brite Media. Friedman will serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Neal Schore will serve as President. Both executives have experience and success investing in and building media businesses.



Concurrently with its launch, Brite Media has formed an initial partnership with BriteVision Media, LLC, the dominant producer and distributor of coffee sleeve advertising in the United States. BriteVision provides the coffee sleeve advertising through an exclusive cafe network comprised of upscale independent coffeehouses and chain cafe locations. Brite Media will work closely with BriteVision's management team, led by Brian Morrison, Chief Executive Officer, and Brett Morrison, Vice President Sales & Marketing.
