Ingredients: Potassium Persulfate Compound, Sodium Perborate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Carbonae, Pentasodium Triphosphate, Corn Syrup Solids, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, PEG-180, Flavor, Magnesium Stearate, Tetrasodium EDTA, DD&C Blue #2 (CI 73015), FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake (CI 73015).
Instructions: Drop one Retainer Brite tablet into enough warm (not hot) water to cover your appliance. Place your appliance into the bubbling blue solution. When the blue color clears (15 to 20 minutes), remove your appliance. Rinse your appliance and hands thoroughly with clean running water. Do not soak your appliance longer than 20 minutes.

Note: If you have a clear plastic (Invisalign-type) Essix retainer, and amalgam (metal) fillings in your teeth, the fillings may create unremovable black stains on your retainer. There is no retainer cleaner on the market that will remove these black stains, because the plastic of your retainer has actually changed color from the metal in the fillings. Ask your dentist or orthodontist if you need more information about this issue.
Retainer Brite is one of the most convenient ways to clean your retainer or aligner. It was developed for clear Essix retainers, but can clean a Hawley retainer, and Invisalign aligner, or any type of removable oral appliance or mouthguard. It's great for everyday cleaning. But if your retainer already has a lot of white plaque buildup, we recommend instead SonicBrite or DentaSoak. Retainer Brite won't remove the white plaque buildup, but the other two products will, after several soakings. If your retainer is new or doesn't have any white plaque buildup, then Retainer Brite will do a great job keeping it clean -- as long as you use it every day!
Retainer Brite is especially convenient for travel, because you can just throw some of the tablets into your suitcase or purse and clean your dental appliance easily in your hotel room in any type of cup with warm water.
If your retainer or appliance contains metal solder, we do not recommend that you use Retainer Brite, because over time, soaking will crumble the solder. Metal solder looks like a silver blob that joins a piece of metal to your appliance. If you're not sure whether your appliance contains metal solder, please ask your dentist or orthodontist.

After many years of buying through Amazon (always relying on others' reviews, but, admittedly, never taking the time to write any of my own), I felt compelled to write my first review for Retainer Brite.
About six months ago, after having a $750 mouthguard specifically designed to help alleviate the pain I was feeling from clenching my jaw each night, I was, quite unfortunately, instructed that I would only need to leave it in a fresh container of water each day and, as I was told, "brush it every other day with ordinary household soap to keep the mouthguard clean." Needless to say, after following the advice of my dentist's office, my mouthguard slowly became "foggy" (essentially, lose its clear quality it had when it was brand now), started to smell stale (even after cleaning my mouthguard with "ordinary dish soap," as I was poorly instructed), and began to have a noticeably different (dare I say slimy) texture--collectively making the $750 mouthguard purchase seem like an utter waste.
After thoroughly researching retainer/mouthguard cleaners and the available consumer products one might use to clean retainers, mouthguards, etc. (in all seriousness, I spent more time researching this than I'd want to openly admit), I purchased Retainer Brite. Not only was Retainer Brite the product I found to have the best customer feedback on Amazon, it consistently held exemplary reviews and strong backing by satisfied customers.
