For the type of woodworking I do this stuff is GREEAAT! It lasts a long long time, fits into spindle turning details very well and is a perfect grit for between coats of finish. Read more

Re: Scotch Brite or fine grit sandpaper to refinish AT bracelet?

I do think this is something done infrequently and with caution.

I have never touched up a PO because I don't mind the daily wear and tear so much.

The clasp of my Speedy was marred by my iPad. Not a scratch really but the aluminum back of the iPad polished a big blemish in the clasp.

I used a green scotch brite and tried to stay as straight as possible. Staying straight in your strokes is the hardest part. I figure it will be years before I do this again on any of my watches.

If my Speedy was here I would take pics but its with Omega for service.

I only brushed the bottom half of the clasp I didn't want to go over the lettering of the clasp. I will say nobody would ever notice a difference between the top and the bottom without holding the watch in their hand and inspecting the clasp under very good light.

The only sign is that my lines have a very minor bend ie not as straight.
