Recall Information
In cooperation with the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, BRITAX Child Safety, Inc. announced today that it is conducting a voluntary safety recall on select B-AGILE, B-AGILE Double and BOB MOTION strollers manufactured between March 1, 2011 and June 10, 2013 with the following US & Canadian model numbers: U341782, U341783, U341764, U341763, U361818, U361819, U391820, U391821, and U391822.
The affected B-AGILE, B-AGILE Double and BOB MOTION strollers have a folding hinge located on the right side of the stroller frames that may pose a Partial Fingertip Amputation Hazard if, after depressing the fold release button, the consumer continues to press the button while simultaneously pulling on the fold release strap with the other hand. In that circumstance, the consumer’s finger may become exposed to a gap on the stroller frame above or below the folding hinge cover that opens as the stroller folds.
Out of more than 220,000 B-AGILE, B-AGILE Double and BOB MOTION strollers sold during this time period, BRITAX has received eight (8) injury reports. These reports involved the fifth digit, or smallest finger, becoming lodged in the gap as the stroller folds, resulting in laceration and/or bruising. Users should be aware that the fold release button engages with one quick press and the B-AGILE and MOTION folding process does not require users to continue pressing the fold release button. (View the “One-Hand Quick Fold” video, here: http://www. britaxusa. com/strollers/b-agile/ As this release button is not accessible to child occupants, no child occupants of the strollers should be at risk to incur injury in this manner and no child injuries have been reported.
To address this issue, BRITAX is providing a free remedy kit to all registered owners of the affected strollers. The remedy kit includes four (4) hinge covers designed to cover the stroller frame gap that occurs above and below the folding hinge as the stroller folds, and an instruction sheet for installing the covers. Owners should confirm if their stroller is affected by verifying the model number and Date of Manufacture (DOM) label.
In order to eliminate all pinch risks, BRITAX recommends against using the affected strollers until hinge covers are applied. If consumers have not yet received their remedy kit, the affected strollers can continue to be safely used if owners remove their hand from the frame release button and stroller frame as they pull up on the stroller release strap.
Consumers who have not registered their stroller or need to verify existing registration should visit www. britaxusa. com/registration (USA) or www. britax. ca/registration (Canada). For general questions, consumers should contact BRITAX toll-free at 1-866-204-1665, from 8:30 a. m. to 5:45 p. m. Eastern Time Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a. m. to 4:45 p. m. Eastern Time on Fridays or email strollerrecall@britax. com .

Britax B-Agile Stroller Review 2014
June 19, 2013 By Susan Brian Last updated on July 18, 2014
Britax B-Agile is lightweight stroller that is a big competition for City Mini. Just like City Mini, it has an easy one-hand fold and weighs only 16.5 lbs! You can take it to the mall, park or for a walk around your neighborhood. B-Agile is designed for parents on the go who take their child with when running errands and traveling.
While it is not an all-terrain stroller, it can handle some of the terrain if you go of the road. The rubber wheels will have no problem tackling mulch, grass and gravel, while all-wheel suspension will absorb some of the bumps providing your child with a smooth ride. This is a truly one-handed stroller that is very easy to push and navigate especially on the flat surfaces.
B-Agile is a VERY stable stroller (especially for being so light) that’s not going to flip over if you hang a bag of the handle bar. It has great features like huge canopy, roomy seat, and large mesh window in the back. The seat has very deep recline that can accommodate a newborn. This stroller can be used from birth and up to 55 lbs. You can easily convert it into a travel system by using included car seat adapter.
B-Agile can be purchased for around $169 – $282 on Amazon. Now, in some of the colors B-Agile costs less than City Mini which is currently sold for around $200 on Amazon. BTW, I always link to Amazon because it has best prices, free shipping, free returns and no sales tax. You can buy a stroller, test it and if you don’t like it just ship it back. Love it!

Pros
-Huge canopy. The canopy is absolutely great. It will cover your child from the sun at any time of the day. It has three panels with large peekaboo window. The peekaboo window is made out of black mesh that provides some shade while allowing for the air to get in. The closure is noisy Velcro that I don’t like (I wish it was magnetic).
-Handle bar. It has one handle bar, so you can talk on the phone and push the stroller at the same time (I call it cell phone friendly handle bar). Although it is non-adjustable, it is conveniently positioned in the middle 40″ from the ground to accommodate taller and shorter parents. Of course it would be nice to have an adjustable handle bar. The cross bar (in the back of the basket) is arched, so even tall parents with longer legs are not going kick the back of the frame while walking.
-Roomy seat. It is 13.5″ wide and 25″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy. This is a huge seat. Even your 4 year old will fit in it (not like they need to be in the stroller at four). The stroller can be used from birth and up to 55 lbs. It has a nice infant headrest that will provide extra support for your newborn. The infinite strap recline offers many positions to choose from. You need only one hand to recline it, but two hands to bring it back up. The recline is nearly flat and can be use for the newborn (I would recommend waiting at LEAST for 3 months before putting your baby into the stroller). The seat is not very upright. I know some kids like my baby Sophia LOVE to sit very upright.
-5 point harness. It is a padded adjustable 5 point harness. To adjust the straps, you don’t need to re-thread. They can be easily adjusted from the back of the seat by sliding up and down. The buckle requires a lot of pressure so your 4-year old wouldn’t be able to unlock it. Pad that protects the belly from the buckle is conveniently sewn right to the seat.
-Mesh window. After reclining the seat, if you lift the back of the canopy, you will see large mesh window. It will provide nice air circulation on the hot summer day. And you can always cover it if the weather gets windy or cold.
-Large pocket. If you recline the seat, you will see a large zipper pocket in the back of the canopy. It is great for small items like cell phone, keys, and sunglasses.
-Tall leg rest. Although it is not adjustable, it is very comfy. The leg drop is 10″ tall which is great for older kids.
-Medium basket. The basket is not that big and it is kind of hard to access from the back especially with the seat reclined all the way. The cross bar also gets in the way. So, the easiest way to access the basket is from the sides (they are elastic). But, it is still better than on City Mini!
-Wheels. It has three rubber wheels, with 9.5″ wheels in the back and 5.5″ double wheel in the front. The front wheel is swivel but can be locked in place for more stability. These wheels will have no problem tackling grass, mulch or gravel.
-All-wheel suspension system. I love when strollers have all-wheel suspension system. It makes the ride so much smoother for a child. While it is not an all-terrain stroller, the suspension will help to absorb some of the bumps if you decided to take it of the road.
-Flip-flop friendly brake. It has one pedal brake located on the right wheel. You can lock both rear wheels just by stepping on it.
-One-hand fold. I absolutely LOVE it! Just like City Mini, B-Agile has that easy one-hand fold parents want. You can hold a child in one hand and fold the stroller with the other. How great is that? I like the fact that you don’t need to bend down to fold it. First, push the safety button located on the side of the stroller to unlock the folding mechanism. Next, pull the strap located in the middle of the seat and the stroller will fold. The automatic lock will insure the stroller will stay folded. Easy. And the weight is ONLY 16.5 lbs – it’s nothing. (that’s probably the weight of my diaper bag. LOL) You can just pull the strap and through it into the trunk. I usually don’t hold my child while doing it, but I always have something like diaper bag or a cell phone in the other hand. Note: It does not stand on its own. It is very compact. The folded dimensions are 22.75″W x 10″H x 29″L.
-Car seat adapters. INCLUDED! Now, you can tranform your stroller into a travel system. It works only with Britax Chaperone and B-Safe infant car seats, which I think they did on purpose so you would buy their car seats. Smart! If you want to use other car seats like Graco, Chicco, and Peg Perego, you will need to purchase a universal car adapter separately.
-Light weight. It is only 16.5 lbs! This is very light for a regular stroller.
Cons
-No bumper bar. I wish the was a bumper bar or a snack tray included.
-Non adjustable handle bar. The handle bar is 40″ from the ground which might not work for much taller or shorter parents. Test it first! Also, think about all the grandparents and friends that might be pushing the stroller.
