3M Scotch-Brite™ General Purpose Hand Pads are used for scuffing surfaces before applying paint and primer-surfacer. 3M Scotch-Brite™ General Purpose Hand Pads do not rust like steel wool. The mineral mineral density imbedded in the Scotch-Brite™ General Purpose Hand Pad is not as great as a piece of coated abrasive sandpaper but it will give you "about" a grade 400 scratch.
Scotch-Brite™ General Purpose Hand Pads work well for Used-Car reconditioning, cleaning upholstery, headliners. doorpads, and white raised letters/whitewall tires. Rinses clean, can be used over and over again.
