If you're afraid to go to the dentist, you've come to the right place.

One of the first things people notice is your smile. If chipped, stained, or crooked teeth are "hiding" the real you, it's time for a smile make over with Dr. Pham.

A beautiful smile can brighten your life every day, professionally and socially. And unlike plastic surgery, cosmetic dentistry isn't a major operation. Imagine coming in for a single appointment or two with Dr. Pham, and emerging with the smile you've always wanted. no pain, no strain, no time taken away from your busy life. The results are immediate and dramatic.

If you are missing one or more teeth, you'll want to talk with Dr. Pham about replacements that are as natural as possible. If dentures don't work for you, you may want to consider dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can be removed, Dr. Pham can make dental implants that are permanently anchored into the jaw itself.

You are a good candidate for dental implants if you have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and healthy oral tissues. When Dr. Pham inserts the implant device into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.

With dental implants at Brite Dental in Campbell, you get a perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good as (or better than!) your original teeth.

Love my dental office. The receptionist is very nice and the rest of their personnel is great too. My dentist saved my tooth and helped me with the pain to my surprise was cracked. Still have to go back to finish the procedure, but I can honestly say, he is not heavy-handed and super nice.

I have never felt strongly about anything enough to bother creating a Yelp account nor to write a review about anything. That was the case until my recent experience with Brite Dental.

This review isn't based off of a one time visit. I have given it several opportunities to wow me (3 dental appointments, to be exact). I would like to reiterate what a lot of my fellow 1-star Yelpers said about the terrible customer service from the front desk. This review is based solely on the customer service in itself. The dentist wasn't particularly stellar and wasn't enough to compensate for the receptionist.

1st visit:

I scheduled an appointment, but the receptionist had to reschedule. Okay, that's fine. I'm not an unreasonable person.

2nd visit:

I scheduled an appointment right after my first visit. Bear in mind that my 2nd appointment was made 6 months in advance. Again, the receptionist called to reschedule. On the day of my 2nd appointment, I had to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room.

Again, I'm not an unreasonable person. I didn't complain about the 30 minute wait.

3rd visit:

I scheduled an appointment right after my second visit. Again, my 3rd appointment was made 6 months in advance. Again, the receptionist called to reschedule. My original appointment was at 4pm. She called at 2pm on the day of to reschedule and asked if I would be willing to come in a little bit earlier (3pm). I agreed. I left work right away just to make it to the appointment on time.

I arrived a little before 3pm. I waited 30 minutes. One lady walked in and was super chummy with the receptionist (apparently they know the same friend or something. I didn't care enough to listen in on pointless conversation). I continued waiting. 10 minutes after that, another lady and her daughter walked in. The receptionist had all of us sit on the dental chairs in the back.

What was the last straw (apart from having to wait 40 minutes in the waiting room) was when the dentist saw the other two people before me. That's right. The dentist saw the two individuals that came in FORTY MINUTES LATER than I did before me. NO explanation was given to me whatsoever to explain to me why my dental appointment was rescheduled an hour earlier only to have me wait an hour in the waiting area.

I was furious at that point and talked to the receptionist. She kept repeating "due to unforeseen circumstances", my appointment was late. Excuse me? No. "Unforeseen circumstances" is when the building gets caught on fire. "Unforeseen circumstances" is when the previous appointment took longer than expected. "Unforeseen circumstance" is when you have NO CONTROL whatsoever! These other two patients arrived AFTER me! FORTY MINUTES AFTER ME! Therefore, I think the receptionist/dentist can control who gets to be seen first!

I cannot respect any facility, or even doctor for that matter, that doesn't respect a patients' time. What makes them think that their time is more valuable than mine? I already have to work MY work schedule around dental hours that are during prime work time. I scheduled my appointment SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE!

I cannot respect any facility that allows a patient to wait 40 minutes and then have their friend cut in line. That is extremely unprofessional and shows extreme favoritism.

Why is it necessary for patients to be able to provide 48 hours notice if they're going to cancel? But why don't they have the courtesy to provide 48 hours notice if they're going to be overbooking patients?

The receptionist has a simple job. Scheduling patients. How is it possible to overbook? Do you not know how many patients are scheduled that day and time? If you don't know, then maybe you aren't fit to be a receptionist!

The dentist sent me an apology email explaining "such occurrences are rare in our office". Excuse me, Dr. Chu, but based off of the Yelp reviews, the terrible customer service wasn't a rare occurrence! Maybe a new receptionist should be hired to take place of the current receptionist if she can't stop overbooking patients.

Teeth Whitening

Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve your look.

Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, flossing once a day, and regular cleanings at Dr. Carol's office. However, if you decide you would like to go beyond regular care to make your smile look brighter you should investigate all of your options.

Finding the Best Treatment for You

Schedule a visit with Dr. Carol to learn whether whitening procedures would be effective for you. Whiteners do not correct all types of discoloration. For example, yellowish teeth will probably whiten well, brownish teeth may whiten less effectively, and grayish teeth may not whiten well at all. Likewise, whitening may not enhance your smile if you have had tooth-colored fillings or crowns. The whitener will not affect the color of these materials and they will stand out in your newly whitened smile. In these cases, you do have other options.

Non-Custom Trays At-Home

When selecting a whitener or any dental product, be sure to look for the ADA Seal of Acceptance — your assurance that a product has met ADA standards of safety and effectiveness.

Custom Fitted Whitening Trays At-Home

Custom whitening trays provide you with optimum whitening over the short period of just a few weeks. Dr. Carol will examine your teeth and gums to assure good oral health. Old fillings may need to be replaced and/or decayed areas treated and filled. An impression of both your upper and lower teeth will be taken to guarantee a proper fit of the custom fabricated whitening trays. The thin, soft plastic trays provide sufficient comfort to allow whitening while you sleep. Once the trays are made, Dr. Carol will explain how to use the Opalescence whitening gel. Many patients use Opalescence while they sleep but it can be used as little as 2 hours per day. Dr. Carol will decide how many treatments it will take for maximum results. Optimum whitening results are usually obtained in two to three weeks.

Non-Custom Trays At-Home

"Tres White" is the latest in professional at-home whitening. Not only is "Tres White" fast acting, comfortable, and great tasting, but easy to use as well. Similar to Crest White strips, "Tres White" requires no custom trays. These pre-loaded whitening trays are simply inserted onto your teeth, where they remain securely in place for the 60 minutes wear time. "Tres White" creates a broader white smile by covering 10 upper front teeth and 8 lower front teeth. Due to its high concentration of peroxide, results are achieved quickly.

These ideal results are not only achieved quickly but safely, as "Tres White" uses two specific types of gel. A whitening gel is loaded along the bottom of the tray for whitening the teeth and a barrier gel is loaded above the gum line for protecting the gums from irritation. This barrier gel helps keep the whitening gel on the teeth where it belongs.

This whitening option works best on younger adults with straighter teeth who have less stain. It will work for mature adults as well but not as effectively as our custom whitening trays. "Tres White's" mint, melon, and peach flavors make whitening your teeth almost as enjoyable as the results you'll achieve.

Whitening Toothpaste

All toothpastes help remove surface stain from your teeth through the action of mild abrasives. "Whitening" toothpastes in the ADA Seal of Acceptance program have special chemical or polishing agents that provide additional stain removal effectiveness. Unlike bleaches, these ADA Accepted products do not alter the intrinsic color of teeth.

Teeth whitening can have minor side-effects and you should speak with Dr. Carol if these become bothersome. For example, teeth can become sensitive during the period when you are using the whitening solution. In most cases, this sensitivity is temporary and should lessen once the treatment is finished. Some people also experience soft tissue irritation, either from a tray that doesn't fit properly or from solution that may come in contact with the tissues. If you have any problems or concerns during the process, discuss them with Dr. Carol. After you have your white smile, it's important to keep it that way. Practice good oral hygiene and always remember to brush after consuming staining foods or beverages.
